Why you should attend this training:

Absence can cost an employer an average of eight days per employee each year.

Acas absence management training helps examine the issue of absence in the workplace while providing a framework for discovering the root cause of this absence. This training will provide supervisors, managers and HR professionals with the essential skills to investigate and manage instances of absence fairly. We will show you how to improve attendance levels and how to conduct effective return to work interviews.

Sickness and absenteeism costs organisations money and time and can potentially decrease workplace cohesion. Absence management approaches and absence training equips managers with the confidence to address absence head on, to have open conversations with employees and to communicate clear structures and policies which assess when absence is becoming an issue which needs to be dealt with.

We help managers and supervisors understand the personal issues that may lie at the heart of absence and we provide frameworks for exploring these issues in a fair and non-invasive manner. This training also examines the role of the Statement of Fitness to Work or 'fitnote'.
