Individual workplace conflict - Acas research and policy

Individual conflict may be expressed formally as disciplinary action or employee grievances but also by disagreements and clashes between colleagues and between managers and their staff. 

Acas has produced a series of research and policy papers looking at the ways in which organisations respond to workplace conflict. These include a number of qualitative studies examining the challenges and opportunities facing workplaces when dealing with the management of individual conflict (reproduced as a series below).

To quantify some of these findings, we also commissioned some questions on workplace conflict management as part of a Business Opinion Omnibus poll in March 2016 (summarised below as an infographic with accompanying commentary).
